This residence built by Ali pasha Qaramanli (1754-1793) was completely renovated and opened in 1994 (photographs of the renovation works are kept in one of the pieces). It is beautifully decorated with ceramic tiles and a fountain runs in the centre of the patio. Transformed into a museum of the old tripolitain habitat, she presented a superb testimony on the interior of the upper society in Ottoman times.
