RUINS OF OLIVE PRESSES

Still more difficult to only find. In the stony plate behind the village of Qasr ED-Dawun (road of Khoms, with about twenty kilometers east of Tarhouna), there are the many ones (called asnam). Before arriving at the village a service station is held on the line, behind which the bases of a mosque fatimide are (on a promontory). Arrived at the village, to turn right and to be inserted in the village, to skirt the side street of shops and to continue straight on approximately 6 km: with the crossing draw up the five pillars of a group of presses with olive (3rd century a. J. - C., 32° 24 ' 01.4 ' ‘NR - 13° 59’ 29.4 ' ‘EO), not far from the marabout of Sidi Hamdan. To take on the right, then on the left 1km further and still on the left 1 km further: another press with olive. 1 km further, to turn right: one further sees soon a group of ruins of presses with olive on the line; one will notice the resemblance of the five stone moulins there to those of the Berber presses with olive of the djebel Nefousa.
