The performance is well worth the detour, presenting a sample of traditional Mongolian performing arts. Dances with masks, contortionists, an orchestra composed exclusively of traditional instruments, notably the morin khuur - included on UNESCO's list of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity - and khoomi singers follow one another, much to the delight of an audience made up mainly of foreigners. The performance lasts just over an hour, and reservations are not possible.
