In a magnificent setting not far from the Baruun Bayan Gol river, this monastery, once comprising five temples and a tower, now boasts just one main temple. It is one of the very last examples of Manchu architecture in Mongolia. Mongolian prince Efu Dondovdorj had it built in the 18th century in memory of his Manchu wife, Armalangui, who had died a few years earlier. Located some 30 km north of most of the park's ger camps, it can be reached by foot (two days) or on horseback (one day).
