TURTLE ROCK
In Mongolia, turtles are sacred animals, a guarantee of wisdom and longevity. So when a huge granite block takes on the appearance of this reptile, it's bound to be revered. To reach it from the park entrance, continue on the main road for 15 km, then turn left. The whole complex lacks charm, however, due to the hotels that have sprung up around it. At the rear, a small Buddhist temple, Aryaval, stands out. On the hillside, it offers a magnificent panorama of the surrounding area. To reach it, climb a hundred or so steps.
