East of the small village of Orkhon, located about twenty kilometers south of Bulgan, is a site with seven reindeer stones. Mongolia is the country to shelter the most in the world on its territory. Archaeologists have indeed found more than 1,500 of them throughout Eurasia, and Mongolia alone has more than 1,300 of them. Their creation dates back to at least the 2nd century BC, during the Bronze Age. They are so named because of the reindeer carved on them, and they were probably used for ceremonies.
