ELSEN TASARKHAI
This "small Gobi", made up of small sand dunes, cannot be compared to the immense desert of the south of the country, but it offers you a small idea of its landscapes and of the nomadic life which is organized there. Two steps away, in a cirque formed by high granite cliffs, is a small monastery, the Erdene Khan. The original temple was built in 1600, and its imposing ruins can still be seen next to the small temple restored in 1990.a few monks animate the place, where ceremonies take place every morning at 10 am.
