MONGOL ELS (SAND DUNES)

Those who will not have planned to continue their exploration from Mongolia to the South will have here a good overview of the dunes as they can see in the desert of Gobi. Just steps away, in a circus formed by high granite cliffs, there is a small monastery, the Erdene Khan. The original temple was built in 1600, and one can still see its large ruins next to the small temple restored in 1990. Some monks animate this monastery, where ceremonies are held every morning at 10 pm. A small camp is connected to the monastery and will compete with the Batrag camp, located in the same valley, which offers nights for 12 000 T.
