This small freshwater lake is especially famous among bird watchers. Eagles and swans converge here, especially in autumn. A small island in the center of the lake houses the ruins of the Khukh Burd monastery, built in the5th century and destroyed in the 1930s. The writer Danzan Rabjar made it famous as the setting for his plays. The mountains and hills surrounding the lake offer a postcard landscape. Nevertheless, it must be earned! You have to take a dirt track to get there.
