Dedicated to the 19th century Mongolian painter and playwright Danzan Rabjar (1803-1856), the museum displays costumes created for his performances, his paintings, as well as gifts given to him by political and religious figures of the time. The collection includes more than 2,000 items with an estimated value of more than 17 billion tugriks, including religious objects that survived the purges of the 1930s, such as ceremonial vestments, manuscripts and paintings, statues and even weapons.
