Also called Narobanchin, this monastery was destroyed in the late 1930s during the political and anti-religious purges that led to bloody massacres and the destruction of most of the temples and monasteries in the country. Rebuilt in 1990, the building, relatively modern, has little charm compared to the old monastery, but it is still worth a stop if you have time, especially since it is located near the city center. It has been put back into service and now hosts about thirty monks.
