Established in 1967, this interesting museum of the region has an important collection of over 2,500 objects and artifacts. These include bronze statues, religious paintings and musical instruments, as well as an impressive shaman's costume. Also on display are petroglyphs and pieces of ancient stone tombs from sites in the region. A good introduction to the Govi-Altai province. Those who want to learn more about its history, geology, ethnic groups, traditions and crafts will be pleased.
