ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM
It is the most interesting museum in the city. Locals also call it Tsetsen Palace Museum, as it is housed in the former palace of Tsetsen Khan, a Mongolian prince who ruled much of the eastern part of the country during the Manchu dynasty in the 18th century. There is a fine collection of local costumes, jewelry and toys, such as handmade chess sets, as well as paintings, objects and religious books. This museum is worth a visit during a stopover in Chinggis City, and is in fact one of the only attractions in the city.
