These ruins dating from the 12th century are those of a city of the Kithan state. A three-meter high pagoda still marks the location of the ancient city of Kherlen Bar Khot. A small rock also commemorates the passage of Chinggis Khaan, who is said to have stayed here for some time. Turkish man-stones ( balbal) can be found near this site, which has obviously been a rallying point of populations for several centuries.
