MARKET BRIDGE
A pretty medieval bridge crosses the Angaud river, where you can see bushels from the old wheat market, a must-see in Billom.
Also known as the Pont Notre-Dame, this pretty medieval bridge spans the Angaud (formerly the Ricochet). It's from this bridge that you leave the narrow streets of the medieval quarter, to discover another face of the town, just as pleasant. The wheat market was once held nearby. In fact, three bushels with draining traps are still visible. These old measuring instruments face a corbelled house, considered to be the former public weight. The Place de la Halle is the new site of the weekly market.
