Rooms offering exceptional panoramas on the rice fields, it is again the big point. They are very basic and in general, there is no hot water (usual thing in the region). The restaurant area has an equally beautiful view and the food is good. In the high season, guitar is sometimes played on the veranda. It is a good place to sleep after a trek, even if the prices are a bit high compared to other pensions.

That was the inn that our guide decided to bring us after 1 day trekking.
The bulding, a 3 floor house in the right hill side of Batad. Grey concrete and some green in several walls. At the reception, a young woman mid-thirties and a kid, fifteen. The kid give us the key and a locker for our rooms.
The rooms, in the ground floor. We had a locker to close the door. Simple rooms but clean and tidy.
The restaurant, top view of the amphitheatre of rice fields. The food was good. All coocked by a the young woman, helped by the kid and our guide, who was her nephew.
The night, 3 guides with its groups where in the restaurant. All of us walking about our trips, drinking their Gin with coke, eating peanuts and playing guitar. Me just listening.
The morning, a wonderful view of the rice fields. After the shower we search our money to pay the futur breakfast. No money. All pesos gone.
We explain our misery to he young woman, she looked surprised. Our guide don't. But he calm us telling us that his oncle, husband's young woman, will came and solve he problem by 12pm. Then told us that the Shaman was searching the guilty. Then told us that he had a suspect. We propose to visit him. He propose his uncle to do so because he has guns. So I propose the machette to back up us. He smiled.
After more bullshit, we asked a refund of our stolen money. No. Half of it. No. A fourth of it and the entire bill of the room and restaurant was taken by the house. The young woman was kind and generous offering us this solution and ask us the phones number and e mail for further news and the total refund of our money, once his husband arrived and sort it the problem.
Today, no news, no refund of the rest of the money. So here is our story. If you go, enjoy the view and the night ambiance but put your bills under your pants.
Good trip
