VICTORY VILLAGE
Go there and contact
It is a village of "squatters". They built their huts by the Philippine Sea, on stilts and on government public lands. The village is five minutes walk from the centre of Legazpi. It includes a small fish market. The inhabitants are mainly involved in fishing. When the fishermen returned around 6pm, the women and children gathered to help unload and sort the fish. The community spirit is very developed. The huts are planted in the brackish waters of the lagoon. Attended by a few rare tourists, the picturesque village has remained intact.
