Some quite sporty walks can be done on the heights of Sablayan, through Mount Iglit and Mount Baco. Classified as a national park, this area is an important reserve (northwest of Mount Iglit) that is home to the Alangan community, another Mangyan tribe, and various animal and plant species, including the tamaraw, a rather aggressive and tricky-to-approach wild buffalo (cousin of the docile carabao) that is found only in Mindoro.
