This festival is one of the most beautiful and famous of the archipelago (and even of Asia!). This festival in honor of the Infant Jesus, Santo Niño, also the patron saint of Cebu, starts with a big solemn procession, which becomes more and more animated, to end up in a huge colorful Carnival parade, with the rhythm of drums and percussions. Costume contests, dances or rituals, there is no shortage of events, and along the roads, make-up and street-food stands see the crowd in jubilation. A real moment of joy!
