This is a really beautiful, quiet hotel/resort in a very pretty part of Moalboal. It's a 3-4 hours drive from Cebu City mainly because of the traffic exiting Cebu and then the narrow roads across the island and through the hills.
I found the location to be good - but be aware that the roads in and out are narrow and busy so it can take a long time to get to the places that you may wish to visit whilst there. If you just want to relax, dive/snorkel and stay very local - no problems. To get to Badian/Kawasan Falls takes about 45-60 minutes. White beach is right next to the hotel.
I found check-in and the service to be really good. The staff called me by my first name from the moment we met. Reception closes at 6pm so you need to be on the ball with anything you might need.
Sustainability and eco-friendliness is high priority here and that is very refreshing. Keep in mind therefore that you are asked to order main meals in advance in order to keep waste to a minimum, so have a daily plan as there's a cut-off time for ordering. I had a beautiful spicy tuna belly meal one night - super fresh as I saw the whole tuna fish arrive on a trike a few hours before it landed on my plate. Big fish too (and absolutely delicious!). I had a smoked fish starter and a fresh fruit dessert and it was 990PHP - pricey for Philippines but convenient and worth every cent - you'd pay 5 times that in the west for the quality so I was happy with this. 3 course set dinner is 990PHP but you can just order the main which was about 600PHP. I understand that there are half/full board options but I was just B&B. Breakfast had multiple options - something for everyone - and I was happy with the American style. Traditional Filipino breakfast and pancakes also available and other western options too.
The common areas are all really well kept and you can practice your diving/snorkelling in the pool. I could not find the gym. The gardens are really pretty with native plants and flowers.
The views and sunset from the hotel are stunning. When I say hotel, it's actually more like individual bungalows, each with a patio where you can sit and a stocked fridge with very well priced drinks (eg Coke 100PHP and San Miguel 170PHP). My room was fairly small and I wasn't accommodated in the basic room.
Now for the downside - this is pretty much the most expensive place around. If you aren't spending a lot of time at the hotel, it makes it a pricey stay plans changed last minute and I needed a transfer back to Cebu, which I had been advised by my friends (locals) would be between 2000-4000PHP. So when I was asked for 6000PHP, I was surprised. Granted it was an aircon private transfer BUT another friend did the same journey from another location nearby, also private transfer in aircon vehicle, and was charged only 3000PHP. So when I came to pay and they asked me for 6600PHP with no explanation, I was pretty annoyed. Sadly, I had no option and there was no room for negotiation - staff were not interested in making this more reasonable. Given the cost of the room stay already being so high, I was pretty disappointed with this scenario and I felt as though I had totally been taken advantage of, which leaves a really bitter taste.
So whilst I had a good stay overall, I probably wouldn't go to this location again, unless I had arrangements for transport that are more reasonable.

Service is amazing and very friendly. This is NOT a 4 star hotel as shown on Google maps, 3 stars at best, as the room was very average (suites may differ). The views are amazing, the restaurant serves excellent food and, as stated, the staff is supurb.

Toller Standort.

Spent a day at the beach and found this beautiful place with amazing views, so decided to have our lunch and dinner and enjoy the sunset.
Apart from the surroundings, staff was friendly and the food was very delicious and well presented.

Best location in Moalboal, quiet area, snorkel from your doorstep, almost. Beautifully maintained grounds, peaceful escape.

Lovely resort for families. Enjoyed the time at the pool. Small gym but enough for a holiday workout. The massages were great. Close to the beautiful beach. The food at the restaurant was good BUT make sure you book your dinner choice prior!! We stayed here as we wanted to do the kawasan canyoneering and the moalboal underwater free dive. Friendly and very accommodating staff. We had to leave at 5am the next morning so the kitchen staff made us egg and bacon rolls ready to take in the morning.

Wow - paradise! Very clean and well appointed rooms. Food was really good - can’t be compared to local restos - wine selection was solid. Sooo relaxing and the staff were very nice with great service

The reef and the scuba offerings are excellent but that's where the good stuff ends. Rooms are dated, terrible WiFi, poorly made cocktails, food offerings are poor. Worst of all is the staff attitude, especially the owner. Any constructive criticism is met with a demanding response.

I recently stayed at Dolphin House Resort, and while the facilities and gardens were impressive, the attitude of the staff was a serious issue. Upon arrival at the reception, I only received information about the closing time of the reception and the necessity of pre-booking meals. There was no welcome tea or facility guidance; I was immediately escorted to my room.

Particularly distressing was the difference in service between my family and a Caucasian couple who arrived after us. While the receptionist provided welcome tea and facility guidance to the couple, I received none. When I requested resort maps or facility information, I was told to refer to a map at the restaurant.

During breakfast on the first day, the unfriendly attitude of the staff member preparing eggs left me feeling uneasy. Upon arrival at the restaurant, despite several staff members being present, no one guided us to a table. It seemed they were engrossed in their own conversations and paid little attention to guests.

The issue escalated during the second day's breakfast due to a communication problem with the same unfriendly egg-cook staff member. This staff member, right in front of me, began conversing in Filipino with another staff member, seemingly mocking and discussing my communication problem, which was extremely disrespectful. Though I didn't understand their language entirely, the few words I caught and their demeanor indicated they were laughing and discussing my communication issue.

This led me to express my dissatisfaction at the reception, highlighting the problems with staff attitudes. My three-night stay was marred by the attitudes of reception and restaurant staff, excluding housekeeping and facility management.

Furthermore, during check-out, there was an issue with the card terminal malfunctioning, and they requested cash payment. I refused, and after the terminal was fixed, I settled the bill with my card. However, demanding cash payment due to a malfunctioning terminal was another problematic attitude displayed by the staff towards guests.

Despite its serene location and excellent facilities, my three-night stay at Dolphin House was ruined by the discourteous attitude of its staff. I cannot recommend this resort, and I believe it would be wise to explore other alternatives. It seems that the staff here still lack the service and attitude befitting a 4-star resort.
