MINE MUSEUM
Museum on the Bayard site, showing how miners worked in the mountains.
Located on the Bayard site, in the building of the old mining machinery, this museum allows us to remember that five centuries of mining history have marked the life of the town. It pays tribute to the hard work of the "black faces" until the last coal skip was removed in 1978. Visitors are invited to experience this descent into the bowels of the earth... A real labyrinth of 160 metres of galleries presents the different methods of support. Scenes show the daily life of the miners.
