Binuhat Festival is, among other things, the "Ladyboy" festival in Tagum. This event, the only one of its kind in Mindanao, is dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community, who gather for the occasion in a very jovial atmosphere. The term " binuhat " means "creation" in the Filipino language. The aim of the festival is to showcase talent and pride, raise awareness of the LGBTQ+ cause and, above all, have fun. Colorful street carnivals, extravagant competitions and artistic displays punctuate this week-long fiesta.
