It takes place every year in honour of Saint Miguel, the patron saint of the city. September 29 is the most animated day: it plays theatre plays whose origins are religious and which represent a battle between Archangel Michel and Lucifer; Young people roam the streets dressed in traditional costumes and go from home to house chanter sérénade to its occupants. There are demonstrations of sinulog, this dance that one could confuse with the fight. The sinulog represents the battles that were fought against Spaniards who wanted to convert the local population to Christianity.
