KULTURNI CENTER Q
Metelkova is a collection of former Austro-Hungarian barracks built in the th century, then owned by the Yugoslav army. In 1993, the place was saved from destruction by a group of alternative artists and intellectuals. First lance, the domain became, with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, a cultural complex where many exhibitions, concerts, shows and conferences are taking place. It is here that the Q (for Queer) Cultural Centre took place in April 2009, at Magnus's initiative, the gay section of the Skuc (student cultural association, one of the country's most important artistic and cultural structures), and two LGBT, Tiffany and Monokel club. The very active centre in the defence of LGBT rights offers concerts, plays, exhibitions and debates.
