The church is not open for sightseeing. However, during special events, it is possible to visit it. The Križanke was the seat of the order of the Teutonic Knights in the mid-13th century. It was the only church of this order on Slovenian soil. Only a few polished elements remain from their church, including the famous relief of the Krakovska Madonna (Mary on the Throne), which adorned the main portal, built in 1270 and kept in the National Gallery
