This traditional house is almost 5 centuries old and has been used as an inn since 1822. Two centuries ago, gingerbread (lec meaning "gingerbread") was made here. The tradition is resurfacing as a workshop-museum opened its doors in the summer of 2007. This reputable inn relies on tradition and never disappoints. The interior, lulled by traditional music, is warm, with a multitude of retro objects. The service in period dress provides an authentic atmosphere. Carniole's specialities are in the spotlight and the menu is in French.

Wir (2 Personen) waren das erste Mal in Radovljica und besuchten die Gostilna Lectar. Ein uriges Lokal mit slowenischen Gerichten. Nach der Bestellung bei der freundlichen Kellnerin freuten wir uns auf die Mahlzeiten. Der halbe Liter Rotwein mundete, aber das Essen kam nicht. Nach genau 75 Minuten fragten wir höflich nach, wie lange die Zubereitung noch dauern werde. Die freundliche Kellnerin ging in die Küche und teilte uns mit, in 7 Minuten werde das Essen serviert. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten Wartezeit war unsere Geduld zu Ende und wir verließen hungrig und enttäuscht dieses Gasthaus! Ein weiterer Besuch ist dort nicht mehr vorgesehen. Schade.
