Here is a hotel that lives up to its name! Perched on Šmarjetna Gora, a mound 2 km from Kranj, the establishment offers a panoramic view of the Julian Alps, the Karawanken Mountains and the Ljubjana Plain. It is claimed that a quarter of Slovenia's territory can be seen from this promontory. The surroundings are quiet and the small church of Sainte-Marguerite adds to the authenticity. The rooms are comfortable and equipped with balconies, but some of them deserve a good refreshment. Pretty full breakfast.
