It is one of the oldest castles in the region, built in 1170 by the Counts of Auvergne. It was not until the 1960s that a medieval enthusiast began restoration work. From the parapet walk, you can discover an amazing 12th century hanging garden, called the garden of the Crusades, planted with trees and flowers with a strong symbolic value - Ispahan rose, Judean tree, Egyptian iris... It has been classified as an exceptional garden by the Institute of Gardens and Parks of France. Take advantage of the magnificent panorama that stretches from the Forez mountains to the Sancy massif.
