BORDER MUSEUM
Border station between Italy and Slovenia. The museum, adjacent to the station on the Slovenian side, offers a unique room with a guided tour in English. It gives a better picture of the complex identity of the city and the region. It stages the transition from the barrier border of the time to today's open border, embodied by its integration into the Schengen area. The chronology is contemporary and begins in the aftermath of the Paris conference and continues until the inauguration of the Place de l'Europe in 2004.
