Accessible directly from Piazza Tartini, the interior of this church is only visible through a gate, which is quite common in Slovenia. Dating back to the 13th century, the church has undergone several renovations, most recently by the architect Pietro Nobile in the 19th century. The nave, which reflects a certain low-relief sobriety, is architecturally harmonious. Take a close look at the statues on the altar representing Jesus Christ giving the keys to Paradise to Peter the Apostle.
