The building was originally a castle. It was the Pauline monks from Poland who founded the convent. With its façade, the former convent stands in stark contrast to the natural green in which it is nestled. The old herb shop is in the Round Tower. It is the oldest in Slovenia and the third oldest in Europe after Paris and Dubrovnik. Côme and Damien, patrons of the apothecaries, figure prominently among these frescoes with religious and even medicinal themes (the mandrake promoting conception, for example). Sale of herbal teas.
