VINAG CELLARS 1847

The cellar is located in the centre near the castle. It is one of the largest in Europe, built in the middle of the 19th century on 20,000 ^m2 with a capacity of 5.5 million litres. Here is preserved the welschriesling, an Italian rizling from Svečina dating from 1946 and a teran from 1959, a typical grape variety of the Kras region in the southwest of the country. A very nice tour under the old town which ends with an excellent tasting. Vinag vineyards can also be visited by reserving a time slot in advance on the website or by telephone.
