The cellar is located in the centre near the castle. It is one of the largest in Europe, built in the middle of the 19th century on 20,000 m2 with a capacity of 5.5 million litres. Here is preserved the welschriesling, an Italian rizling from Svečina dating from 1946 and a teran from 1959, a typical grape variety of the Kras region in the southwest of the country. A very nice tour under the old town which ends with an excellent tasting. Vinag vineyards can also be visited by reserving a time slot in advance on the website or by telephone.
