JEWISH CULTURAL CENTER

The synagogue had its heyday at the end of the 19th century when the Jewish community of Lendava numbered some 300 inhabitants. The Second World War put a definitive end to this Jewish epic in eastern Slovenia in a very dramatic way. The place has been renovated as a centre of Jewish memory and culture. The permanent exhibition, translated into English, allows us to discover this part of the religious and social history of Lendava, which is still relatively unknown. The reception is particularly friendly.
