AIDE ET RÉPIT

Aide et Répit was created in 2007, inspired by methods used in Quebec and Belgium (the Baluchon d'Alzheimer). The association helps families who have a member with Alzheimer's disease. It provides various types of support. It has created a practical training school for multi-skilled caregivers that brings together family caregivers, volunteers and health professionals who volunteer to be trained in home support. The only one of its kind in France, it teaches how to accompany a patient at home while sparing oneself, providing the patient with all the day-to-day care and mobilizing the remaining capacities to keep him or her in good condition as long as possible.
