Pretty lodging located at the edge of the plateau dominating the cirque of Salazie.
If you want to sleep in the Bélouve forest, you'll have no other choice than this pretty gîte on the edge of the plateau overlooking the Salazie cirque. The view is sublime. A museum area in a building to the left of the gîte traces the history of the Paul Charly forest cableway. The gîte's janitors are charming and the food is excellent. Campers can also pitch their tents outside and enjoy their meal with everyone else. Avoid arriving at night, as the gate and parking lot are 400 m from the gîte. Dinner and lunch must be booked 48 hours in advance.

After operatebeing opera of a fracture of the shinbone there are 1 month with care by the CHD of St Denis, with formal prohibition to floors set foot for 3 months. I decide this Sunday to want to leave and to accompany my friend and my parents on holiday on the island at the cottage Belouve. History to share them with a good creole meals and the splendour of this site, before later them hiking in this beautiful primary forest! Sunday was therefore be perfect but it was not counting on the state of mind of the " gîteurs" !!!
Indeed once above we find ourselves in front of a barrier closed at 400 m from the cottage that nobody wanted to come to open us! Far from us the idea to spoil this magnificent site, my friend wanted just put me and return to be parked below.
We have telephone by 2 times in the " gîteur" which is very poorly received us by telling us in substance that it was not a problem, that the barrier that had to be contacted the ONF would come to open. I took my crutches and my courage with two hands to walk the 400 metres in size and stairs, to be welcomed without a hello or even a commercial smile by these people! But share them 3 cars parked just behind the cottage!
I want to specifying that the number of the person to be contacted was not to advise us by the " gîteur" , it is not that marked the arrival has on the door of the restaurant, the person who stayed injoignable and that it is not in any specific guide this technical detail nothing less important when you are on a leg!
We are obviously not to be eating in this establishment!
I deplore today that people with so few know to be obtained the farm and the monopoly of this exceptional site!
It is far from the state of mind that cottages must have!
L'environnement est un parc joliement aménagé.
Accueil chaleureux, repas copieux avec punch presque à volonté.
Les dortoirs sont propres et les sanitaires bien entretenus.
