Small, brightly-colored shingled huts, terrace with breathtaking views of the Rivière des Galets and Ilet-aux-Lataniers, just opposite. Built in typical Creole style, Grand Place Cayenne promises an authentic, immersive experience in the heart of the Mafate cirque. It has 16 beds in a dormitory and 2 double rooms, with shared bathroom facilities. Simple and comfortable. Sheets and blankets provided. Camping not permitted. Creole cuisine prepared by Lydia and Gildas, using fresh local ingredients.

Quand on a marché plusieurs heures, cela fait un bien fou d'arriver dans un gite comme celui ci! Sanitaires communs ok, dortoirs confortables, repas excellents!!seul petit hic, le réveil du coq à 4 h du matin… Mais ici c'est la coutume visiblement.. Les hôtes sont très serviables et aident certains voyageurs à rectifier leur route jusqu'au prochain gite si nécessaire.

De loin ma meilleure expérience. Dans un cadre de verdure idyllique,
se détache ce gîte rouge et jaune adorable. Des gens charmants, un repas excellent et une très bonne ambiance. Petits dortoirs de 4 un peu serré, mais correct et propre.

Le 29 juillet 2018 bonjour jolie gite avec confort des matelas et sanitaires par contre tre dessus des plats hiver coq rien à manger riz très moyen et 1 clémentine pour 18 euros le repas ça fais cher je trouve comparer à d autre gîtes voilà aussi gérants Simpa un peu dommage

Nous sommes restés 2 nuits dans ce gîte avec un groupe de 6 personnes: de l'avis général, nous avons passé un excellent moment. Accueil agréable, repas délicieux et l'emplacement est top. On a beaucoup aimé les jolies cases de couleur, un peu moins la douche et son filet d'eau... mais pas de quoi nous empêcher de revenir.
