Family-run gîte offering traditional wood-fired cooking.
In a beautiful creole hut, 10 rooms, including 2 in gîte for 6 people, double rooms, including one on the garden floor and dormitories. Le Relais de Mafate also offers 5 bungalows, including 2 rooms for 4 people. These small chalets are scattered around the gîte. The traditional cooking is done over a wood fire, with the speciality of duck with vanilla and gratin de chouchou. This family gîte, maintained for generations, is a classic of the Mafate gîtes. Helicopter flights are possible, by reservation only.
