The website www.eta.gov.lk allows you to apply for an electronic travel visa (ETA) online.
You can extend your ETA for a maximum period of 60 days (2 times 30 days) by going to the Immigration Department in Colombo. Beyond this extension period, any further extensions must be duly justified. Remember to bring, in addition to your passport, your return ticket, a photo, the contact details of your hotel in Sri Lanka, a pen and 4,600 Rs. Count between 3 and 4 hours of procedure.
