Built in 1908 by the Muslim community of Pettha, Jami-ul-Alfar Masjid is a beautiful mosque, one of the oldest in the city, made of red and white bricks. This emblematic building can be spotted from afar by its imposing mass, and its singular architecture is more reminiscent of an Indo-British style central station than a religious building. The mosque can only be visited outside of prayer hours, from Saturday to Thursday.
