SRI MURUGAN KOVIL
The official name of this Hindu temple, dedicated to the god of war, Murugan (also called Subramania), son of Shiva and Parvati, is Arulmihu Sivasubramania Swami Kovil. It is worth seeing for its admirable architecture, with an imposing gopuram composed of numerous sculpted statues at the entrance, as well as for its abundant colours and the devotion that reigns during the ceremonies. Photographers are advised to step away from the temple to get a magnificent overall view of the temple, with the Lotus Tower in the background.
