It is the largest park in Colombo. It is a very popular place for walking and is renowned for the beauty of its trees in bloom between March and May. It is named after Viharamahadevi, mother of King Dutugemunu (205-161 BC). Although the name Victoria Park was withdrawn after independence in 1948, the name is still used. It is divided in the middle by a wide avenue, Amanda Kumaraswamy Mawatha, better known as the Green Path.

Pleasant park which allows " rafraichir". We were " abordé" by a " jardinier" who showed us and explained the various arboricolous species in the park, as well as the thousands of bat giants, hung in the trees... Very interesting
