The association exists since 1980 and its vocation is the preservation of injured turtles before their release. The farm was completely destroyed by the tsunami of December 26, 2004 but was reborn thanks to the determination of its members. Well kept, it includes since 2013 a small research and information center. Among the ponds, 4 of the 7 species of turtles found in Sri Lanka can be seen. The strangest to observe remains the albino specimen.
