Located about 4 km east of Unawatuna, inland, this Buddhist complex was founded at the time of the Anuradhapura kingdom. In a peaceful environment, in the heart of the forest, it consists of a cave-temple with a beautiful 9 meter long reclining Buddha statue, a dagoba, a bodhi tree and a large colorful standing Buddha statue. One can admire interesting sculptures and the walls of the temple present pretty frescos
