MIRISSA WATER SPORTS PVT LTD

Mirissa Water Sports is a whale-watching tour company based in Mirissa. They also offer sport fishing, sailing, coastal cruises, snorkeling and sailing. Their main attraction is whale and dolphin watching. They are the first operator of their kind on Sri Lanka's south coast and have had more than three consecutive seasons of whale sightings. Sightings take place around 3 to 6 miles off Mirissa and can be made all year round. They work closely with marine mammal expert Anouk Ilangakoon to identify whale types and migration patterns. Blue whales are most frequently seen in the first quarter of the year. Humpback dolphins are also a common sight on excursions. Mirissa Water Sports has three boats with different capacities and an experienced team to ensure passenger safety.
