Bank of Ceylon is a bank located in Colombo. It offers term deposits of 100, 200 and 400 days, with attractive interest rates starting from 500,000 rupees. Term deposits offer a higher yield in the short term, with the highest interest rates on the market. What's more, the bank guarantees the security of your deposit and allows you to obtain an instant loan of up to 90% of your deposit. Interest rates for 100-, 200- and 400-day deposits are 14.00%, 13.00% and 11.00% p.a. respectively. Term deposits are open to individual residents of Sri Lanka over the age of 18, institutions registered in Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan nationals over the age of 18 residing abroad on a work visa.
