Laksala is the only state-accredited gift and souvenir shop. There are more than a dozen shops across the island offering an eclectic mix of products, from tea and spice selections to colourful batiks, numerous arts and crafts and a large collection of gems and jewellery, all stamped 'All in Sri Lanka'. The prices, although affordable, are adapted to the generally high standard of living of tourists. There are two levels to visit in this Kandy store.
