This 1880 building was the home of the British governor before becoming a museum. Inaugurated in May 2011, it aims to represent Buddhism throughout the world. The collection presented on two floors was created with the help of 17 nations, each represented by a dedicated section. The countries represented have donated original works or replicas. Architecture, rituals and practices sometimes differ greatly from one country to another.
