SQUARE TEMPLE
In this large green space, there are several notable buildings or places, including two of the Hatara Devale. Entering through the entrance on the side of the Temple of the Tooth, one finds successively the Natha Devale, in the first part of the square, the Pattini Devale, in the second part of the square, the Anglican church of St. Paul, in the extreme west, and then the former royal stables, adjoining St. Paul. Behind the Vishnu Devale are administrative and military buildings. The Kataragama Devale is located a little further in Kotugodella Vediya.

En période de Perahera (et peut être hors?), il y a quelques éléphants qui sont gardés ici, et on peut les voir se faire habiller pour la parade.
Pas d'éléphants rachitiques, d'ailleurs.
