The complex contains the remains of a circular temple, the Pothgul Vihara, which would have served as a library for storing and studying sacred writings. Unfortunately, most of the site has been ravaged by the ravages of time. A little further on, a giant statue carved in relief on a granite rock, whose name is Pulatshi Rishi Statue, represents King Parakramabahu I, one of the most famous monarchs for the progress he engendered: all the irrigation works of Sri Lanka were started under his reign.

Temple sympa à visiter, excentré par rapport au reste mais joli et avec une belle vue. Temples à visiter en vélo si possible, c'est plus sympa
