This museum, located next to the Bassawkkulama Tank, is attached to the Anuradhapura Archaeological Museum. It has been open since 1971 and contains mainly various objects illustrating life in the countryside of Nuwara Kalaviya, in north-central Sri Lanka: kitchen utensils, medical devices, agricultural tools, musical instruments, etc. There are also life-size reproductions of traditional dwellings. Please note that access to this museum is not included in the Anuradhapura archaeological site package.
